El vídeo es una respuesta a uno que lanzará hace unas semanas Verizon, en el que promocionaban el Droid, atacando las debilidades del iPhone. Pues bien I Don’t Care (No me importa) que tan bueno sea el Droid.
Google Maps Saver es una pequeña aplicación portable que nos permite descargar mapas de Google Maps para poder visualizarlos luego cuando no tengamos conexión a internet.
La aplicación es realmente muy sencilla de usar, y se comporta de manera ágil ya sea al iniciarla o bien para descargar los mapas, algo que puede realizar en pocos segundos si nuestra conexión es decente.
Luego de marcar la zona que queremos descargar solo tenemos que indicar el formato en el que queremos guardar las imágenes, como así también el formato de resolución.

Moz rank is some what like link juice estimation. Link Juice just like page rank flows from page to page of your site or links to others sites on your pages.
In simple words the more quality inbound links you have the better moz rank you get. Quality links are considered as inbound links on sites whose page rank is higher than your site. For example if my site’s page rank is 2 then putting link on site who’s page rank is higher than 2 or 3 would be considered as quality Inbound link, of course by using proper link posting method.
Proper Link posting is something like this:

Ok, everybody knows what it I won’t get into details is. Just simple to improve alexa rank just install alexa toolbar and browse your site daily. Refresh after a few minutes or so in a week you will improve your rank to about 200000 places. Note also this will work only to really new and fresh sites, for well established websites you still need traffic to get ranked.
When u will go through all these steps just to improve your site’s rankings once, you have learned SEO.

Así que ¿este es el futuro del social media? más que eso, la realidad aumentada revoluciona las interfaces de usuario y los medios de comunicación social son una aplicabilidad que tiene mucho potencial. Imaginen apuntar las cámaras de sus dispositivos a una persona y que automáticamente puedas ver su tarjeta de presentación, sus actualizaciones en el Facebook y el Twitter, descargar la presentación que está haciendo en esté momento compartida en SlideShare, escuchar lo que está escuchando en el Grooveshark, y todo lo que se les pueda ocurrir de obtener de la información en las redes sociales, solo que está vez de una forma más cercana y natural.
Por otra parte, estas aplicaciones no necesariamente son desarrolladas por la misma empresa que ofrece el servicio. Aunque muchas implementaciones se hacen web, eliminando en gran parte problema del funcionamientos en la gran cantidad de plataformas tecnológicas, sin duda el hecho de permitirle a desarrolladores externos crear su propia aplicación para conectarse con estos servicios públicos a través de las APIs es una muy buena forma para que el servicio pueda ser usado en aquellos dispositivos que necesitan de una aplicabilidad especial como son los dispositivos móviles.
Los expertos en cada área adaptan el acceso a la red con tecnología que manejan, como por ejemplo un cliente Twitter sobre Android que use el reconocimiento de voz para tuitear. Así que mi recomendación es que en la medida que sea posible si son dueños de un producto de social media o cualquier servicio publico masivo es muy conveniente desarrollar un sistema robusto y flexible para poder entregar APIs a terceros y así ellos se encargan de que los servicios de ustedes tengan más accesibilidad, con eso ganan ustedes y apoyan la creación de nuevos productos.
Top 10 Broadband es un mashup de Google Maps en el que los usuarios pueden indicar la zona en la que viven y la velocidad de su conexión.
Además, pueden seleccionar un ícono para indicar cual es su ISP, aunque se trata de un mashup solo para Gran Bretaña. Aún así, la idea es buena y sería interesante verlo plasmado en España, para dejar bien sentado cuales son los peores proveedores de conexión a internet.

Quiero empezar aclarando que estoy colaborando en el Open Talent este año para vincular a proyectos de la región latinoamericana a su iniciativa y dejo el disclaimer de frente. Antes de contarles un poco mi interés en la iniciativa, paso a explicar un poco de que trata.
El Open Talent organizado por el BBVA está celebrando su segunda edición con una proyección más internacional. Quieren apoyar con 3 inversiones de hasta 100mil euros (unos 147mil dólares) a proyectos de innovación y tecnología que ya estén funcionando. No se trata de ideas o de planes de negocio puestos en un excel, sino de cosas más avanzadas en su desarrollo.
En la edición del 2008, participaron 375 proyectos, siendo el ganador el proyecto de PideCita. Lo interesante de la iniciativa, es que fue generada en el iWeekend Valencia, un evento que reune a entusiastas de proyectos web para emprender en un fin de semana. PideCita fue la creación de aquel grupo y luego, en búsqueda de apoyo para seguir avanzando llego el fondo de Open Talent.
Adicionalmente a las inversiones, hay una plataforma para que los interesados en apoyar a proyectos participantes envíen sus votos. Y estos votos a su vez le otorgarán al emprendedor de la iniciativa más votada un viaje a algún evento relevante en Estados Unidos. Me imagino a alguien en algún Web Submit, AdTech o Startup School vinculándose con el mundo.
De mi parte, estoy difundiendo la iniciativa apoyando a Javier Martin, quien ya ha estado a bordo desde la primera edición, encontrándome interesado en invitar abiertamente a muchos proyectos que he venido conociendo en la región. Empiezo a imaginar también las sinergías que pueden plantearse en iniciativas como son los Valleys de la región donde hay siempre proyectos ya activos circulando y promoviéndose.
Estoy seguro que existen muchos candidatos que deben aplicar en cada país de Latinoamérica y además es un buen ejercicio para retarse junto a similares en España de donde siempre vemos más iniciativas de emprendimiento vinculadas a la web. Y además, nos permitirá tomar el pulso más acertadamente a muchos proyectos que se han estado iniciando en este año y que buscan un empuje para finalizar el semestre.
El registro para proyectos y toda la normativa estará publicada en breve. Lo que ya existe, es la definición de las temáticas en donde se están buscando proyectos. Si tienen alguna duda pueden enviarla a través del sitio del Open Talent o en los comentarios.

Últimamente Facebook no es mi parada preferida al ir de paseo por Internet y, ciertamente su agenda de eventos tampoco es un lugar recurrente al momento de verificar qué es lo que queda en el “To Do” de mi agenda. No sería genial entonces, poder -de alguna misteriosa manera- combinar los “eventos” de Facebook con nuestro ubicuo calendario de Google?
Que no cunda el pánico entonces, hemos de seguir estos sumamente sencillos pasos:

Incluso si, como un servidor, no somos muy dados en “esto del Fésivuk”, ésta no es sino una opción muy conveniente ya que, una vez incorporado el nuevo calendario a la agenda, seremos notificados en tiempo y forma (vía Google Calendar) respecto a lo que ocurre en los eventos de Facebook. Realmente simple, y por demás recomendado.

If you weren’t sure about switching to an Android phone in the near future, this might put you over the edge. Google Maps Navigation is an absolutely killer app. And it is only available for Android 2.0 phones.
Today is Droid day, and for the most part Google is taking a backseat and letting their partners get most of the attention. But Droid is the first Android phone to run Android 2.0, and Google Maps Navigation is clearly the early trophy app for those devices.
Google Maps already has 50 million active users across various mobile phones, says Google. But what users have today isn’t even close to the new Navigation product.
First off, it’s connected, which puts it ahead of all but a tiny percentage of in-car navigation systems which have no Internet connectivity (Dash is a notable exception).
The application is also completely free. So all those paid navigation apps (Navigon, TomTom, CoPilot, MapQuest, GoKivo and Sygic Mobile) are at an immediate disadvantage.
But even if Google charged for this app, it would still win hands down. The features include easy search (no need for address), voice search, traffic information (from data sources and crowd sourced from app), and street view close up pictures when you get near your destination. And the car dock mode gives bigger, simpler icons and auto-voice mode (see video):
Search in plain English. No need to know the address. You can type a business name (e.g. “starbucks”) or even a kind of a business (e.g. “thai restaurant”), just like you would on Google.
Search by voice. Speak your destination instead of typing (English only): “Navigate to the de Young Museum in San Francisco”.
Traffic view. An on-screen indicator glows green, yellow, or red based on the current traffic conditions along your route. A single touch on the indicator toggles a traffic view that shows the traffic ahead.
Search along route. Search for any kind of business along your route, or turn on popular layers such as gas stations, restaurants, or parking.
Satellite view. View your route overlaid on 3D satellite views with Google’s high-resolution aerial imagery.
Street View. Visualize turns overlaid on Google’s Street View imagery. Navigation automatically switches to Street View as you approach your destination.
Car dock mode. For certain devices, placing your phone in a car dock activates a special mode that makes it easy to use your device at arm’s length.

Last Thursday, Microsoft attempted to erase all of the bad memories left by Windows Vista wit the launch of perhaps the most anticipated operating system software yet: Windows 7. The new OS promises to be faster, sleeker, and more intuitive than its predecessor.
Microsoft’s computing and OS rival didn’t take the Windows 7 hype sitting down, though. Apple launched a new wave of Get a Mac Ads painting Microsoft’s Windows flagship as an evolution of problems not worth enduring. Now with both sides at war once again, we thought it was appropriate to dedicate this week’s Web Faceoff to the long-standing Microsoft vs. Apple battle.
This week’s competitors are none other than Microsoft Windows 7 and Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6. One is the newest edition of the PC OS, while the other is the standard bearer OS for all Apple computers. Which one emerges the victor…well, we’ll let you decide the outcome in the poll below.
